Q: What are the limitations of the trial version?

The Free version of DBDefence is the same as fully functional software, however it will only work with databases less than 77 MBs. NO TIME LIMITATION.

Q: Is there a limit on how large database can be encrypted?

Free version can encrypt databases up to 77 MBs. Full version do not have any limitations.

Q: What SQL Server version do you support?

Currently we support SQL Server 2008, 2005 (all editions) for 32- and 64-bit platforms (X64). No limitations on the client side.

Q: If I backup encryped database can I restore it on another server?

Yes, but you can restore only to encrypted database again. You can not remove encryption with backup/restore. Backup files are encrypted.
