FIPS 140-2 Validated module
Latest version of DbDefence contains FIPS 140-2 validated module
of OpenSSL encryption library
#1051.
DbDefence is built accordingly to Special
requirements and uses FIPS approved encryption algorithm AES
(#695)
That module for X86 and X64 platform located in "FIPS 140-2"
directory of DbDefence installation. To use that module you need to
copy the DLL from that folder to Binn directory of SQL Server
instance.
Databases encrypted with validated module and work with
non-validated dbdefence.dll module and vice-versa.
To check FIPS mode execute dbd_status command.
