In order to use DBDefence, software activation is required. This can be done by inserting your unique activation key after installing the software. This key is then authenticated with the Elitude Software product activation system to activate the product. The entire activation process is quick and easy to complete.

If you obtain a redistribution license, you will be able to avoid the interactive software activation process.

Each software license is bound to the computer name of the system it was initially installed on. You can change any hardware within the given system but in order to continue using the software you must use the same computer name.

Internet Activation

Activation can run from ANY WORKSTATION which has a connection to the Internet and to the target SQL Server at the same time.

In order to select Automatic Internet Activation as the method of activation you must log in to SQL Server. The activation program requires this step in order to calculate the unique Server ID and set the registration information:

Enter serial number. Usually you receive the serial number from Elitude Software by e-mail.

Manual Activation

If you have no Internet access on your workstation you can manually activate the software using the following steps.

1: Go to theManual Activation page and enter your activation key.
2: Enter Server ID or computer name as displayed in "My Computer" properties.

You will then be given two unique text strings which will activate your software installation without connecting to the Internet.
